Surely you have nothing against students of our faculty being involved in the supervision and correct running of the race! 😊🤗 Of course, under the careful information, training and coordination 🕵️♀️🚵♀️ of referees licensed by the International Motorcycling Federation! We wish success to the competitors and congratulate the people who decided and managed to bring this competition to Romania, to be exact in Bacău. 👏👍
The Ministry of Education, through the Federation of School and University Sports, in partnership with the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, through the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, organizes, between April 26-27, 2024, in Bacău, the National University Swimming Championship . At this competition, dedicated to 60 years of higher education in the field of Sports Science and Physical Education in Bacău, the best student swimmers from 2024 will be selected. On the anniversary clock (60 years of professional higher education) a new international recognition of the study program – Occupational Therapy! During the meetings of the WFOT (World Federation of Occupational Therapists) Board of Directors held in Bermuda (February 29 – March 3, 2024), the Occupational Therapy study program of the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences in Bacău was reevaluated, obtaining recognition and approval WFOT for another 5 years. In the same event, the activity carried out by our colleague Marinela Rață (associate professor, PhD), APTOR delegate, as a representative of occupational therapy in Romania, was appreciated.
The 26th edition of the National University Athletics Championship was held in the “Doina Melinte” Athletics Hall in Bacău and brought together over 100 students involved in sports competitions. The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education, through the Federation of School and University Sports, in partnership with the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, through the Faculty of Movement, Sport and Health Sciences. This championship was attended by over 100 students and teaching staff from 19 university centers. The fight for medals was a close one, with 16 university centers managing to get at least one medal.
“For many years, the first national university champions of Romania, of each competitive year, are designated in Bacău, this fact is due to the active involvement of the “Vasile Alecsandri” University in Bacău in the organization of the oldest and most constant student sports competition: National University Athletics Championship – Indoor. It has already become a tradition, recognized by all university centers in Romania, for this competition to be organized in Bacău. Out of the 26 editions, 25 were organized by the teaching staff of the Faculty of Movement, Sport and Health Sciences. We congratulate the students, for their involvement in such personal development activities and validation of their training efforts, the athletes’ coaches, but also the coordinating teaching staff for their desire to transmit, promote university sports values and be next to these students wonderful We thank the Ministry of Education and the Federation of School and University Sports, as well as the partners: the Romanian Athletics Federation, the Sports Department of Bacău County, the Student League from the Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacău and the Bacău Science Sports Club”, declared Dan Iulian Alexe, dean of the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences.
In the spirit of the anniversary of 60 years of professional higher education in the field of Physical Education and Sports, Friday, February 23, 2024, in the “Vasile Alecsandri” University Hall in Bacău, the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, in partnership with the Bacău Penitentiary , organized the Workshop “The importance of physical exercise, as a compensatory activity for sedentarism in persons deprived of liberty”, an event coordinated by Mihai Adrian Sava, associate professor, PhD. The event was attended by distinguished guests from the National Agency of Penitentiaries Bacău. The event was attended by students from the study programs Physical and sports education, Sports and motor performance, Physiotherapy and special motor skills, Occupational therapy, Sports performance, respectively four men deprived of liberty, who answered the questions from the public, managing to expose the most important aspects related to the practice of physical exercise in the detention environment.
