UNION OF BLACK BELTS - ROMANIA.

The joy of the anniversary of 60 years of higher education, in the field of sports science and physical education, is also expressed through the organization of sports events and demonstrations. Thus, the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, through the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, in partnership with the Budokan Martial Arts Club from Bucharest, will organize, between October 25-27, 2024, in Bacău, the VIII edition of the UNION OF BLACK BELTS from ROMANIA. Event coordinated by Conf. univ. dr. Sava Mihai-Adrian, from FSMSS and Shihan SITARUS Doru-Marian (8 Dan Ju Jitsu), president of the Budokan Martial Arts Club Bucharest. During the seminar, self-defense techniques and weapon techniques (STICKS, BALISONG, KARAMBIT, NUNCHAKU) will be presented. This event mobilizes martial arts masters and athletes, promoting fair play and movement.

Visceral Osteopathy Workshop

The workshop conducted by Dr. Dan Mezei and Assistant PhD. Antohe Bogdan-Alexandru will highlight the anatomical and functional relationships between the musculoskeletal and visceral systems. During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore theoretical and practical examples, demonstrating how common conditions such as low back pain, neck pain, hip osteoarthritis, and knee osteoarthritis can be treated through visceral manipulation techniques.
“RUN FOR CHANGE” – Second Edition 2024
   The Student League of “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, in partnership with the Faculty of Movement, Sports, and Health Sciences, proudly presents the second edition of the charity event “Run for Change,” which will take place on October 19, 2024, on the Leisure Island of Bacău.
   “Run for Change” is a cross-country charity event organized to bring the local community together in support of a noble cause. Following the impressive success of the first edition in 2023, which gathered over 300 participants of all ages and showcased the unity and solidarity of Bacău’s residents, we aim to turn this event into a tradition that inspires and mobilizes as many people as possible.
    This year, the event will feature seven distinct races designed to ensure broad participation:
  • – Children’s Races – Organized into four age categories to encourage movement and healthy competition from an early age.
  • – Adult Race – Open to all who wish to actively contribute to this initiative.
  • – Race for People with Disabilities – A new addition this year, emphasizing the importance of inclusion and the participation of all social categories in community life.
    The funds raised during this edition will be directed, as in the previous year, to the SuperNova Association in Bacău. This local organization dedicates its efforts to supporting children with various deficiencies or social problems, providing them with the necessary support to learn, develop, and reach their full potential.  OUR STUDENTS, VALUED VOLUNTEERS!
 On the occasion of the celebration of 60 years of activity, the students of the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, within the “Vassile Alexandri” University in Bacau, got involved in the good organization of the Moldavia Bacau Rally, a traditional competition in Romanian motoring.
     “Although it is less talked about than it should be, the role of volunteers in the smooth running of a large-scale sports event, such as the Moldova Bacău Rally, is particularly important. Regardless of whether we are talking about technical or logistical aspects, any helping hand is welcome when you want to achieve something qualitative but also in a fast time. It gives us a special honor and pleasure to be able to work together with the students of the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences” declared the organizers. Thank you, dear students!

The Faculty of Movement, Sport and Health Sciences – partner in organizing the edition of the World Enduro Championship

Why not, at 60 years old, a young academic structure ☺️, such as the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, part of the “Vasile Alecsandri” University in Bacău, be a partner in organizing and holding in optimal conditions the edition of this year of the World Enduro Championship, between 10-12 May 2024, in Bacău?! Surely you have nothing against students of our faculty being involved in the supervision and correct running of the race! 😊🤗 Of course, under the careful information, training and coordination 🕵️‍♀️🚵‍♀️ of referees licensed by the International Motorcycling Federation! We wish success to the competitors and congratulate the people who decided and managed to bring this competition to Romania, to be exact in Bacău. 👏👍

National University Swimming Championship, April 26-27, 2024

The Ministry of Education, through the Federation of School and University Sports, in partnership with the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, through the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, organizes, between April 26-27, 2024, in Bacău, the National University Swimming Championship . At this competition, dedicated to 60 years of higher education in the field of Sports Science and Physical Education in Bacău, the best student swimmers from 2024 will be selected. Student delegations from 20 university centers are expected

International recognition from WFOT

On the anniversary clock (60 years of professional higher education) a new international recognition of the study program – Occupational Therapy! During the meetings of the WFOT (World Federation of Occupational Therapists) Board of Directors held in Bermuda (February 29 – March 3, 2024), the Occupational Therapy study program of the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences in Bacău was reevaluated, obtaining recognition and approval WFOT for another 5 years. In the same event, the activity carried out by our colleague Marinela Rață (associate professor, PhD), APTOR delegate, as a representative of occupational therapy in Romania, was appreciated.

National University Athletics Championship February 23-25, 2024

The 26th edition of the National University Athletics Championship was held in the “Doina Melinte” Athletics Hall in Bacău and brought together over 100 students involved in sports competitions. The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education, through the Federation of School and University Sports, in partnership with the “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, through the Faculty of Movement, Sport and Health Sciences. This championship was attended by over 100 students and teaching staff from 19 university centers. The fight for medals was a close one, with 16 university centers managing to get at least one medal.
“For many years, the first national university champions of Romania, of each competitive year, are designated in Bacău, this fact is due to the active involvement of the “Vasile Alecsandri” University in Bacău in the organization of the oldest and most constant student sports competition: National University Athletics Championship – Indoor. It has already become a tradition, recognized by all university centers in Romania, for this competition to be organized in Bacău. Out of the 26 editions, 25 were organized by the teaching staff of the Faculty of Movement, Sport and Health Sciences. We congratulate the students, for their involvement in such personal development activities and validation of their training efforts, the athletes’ coaches, but also the coordinating teaching staff for their desire to transmit, promote university sports values and be next to these students wonderful We thank the Ministry of Education and the Federation of School and University Sports, as well as the partners: the Romanian Athletics Federation, the Sports Department of Bacău County, the Student League from the Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacău and the Bacău Science Sports Club”, declared  Dan Iulian Alexe, dean of the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences.

Workshop "The importance of physical exercise, as a compensatory activity for sedentarism in persons deprived of liberty"

In the spirit of the anniversary of 60 years of professional higher education in the field of Physical Education and Sports, Friday, February 23, 2024, in the “Vasile Alecsandri” University Hall in Bacău, the Faculty of Movement, Sports and Health Sciences, in partnership with the Bacău Penitentiary , organized the Workshop “The importance of physical exercise, as a compensatory activity for sedentarism in persons deprived of liberty”, an event coordinated by  Mihai Adrian Sava, associate professor, PhD. The event was attended by distinguished guests from the National Agency of Penitentiaries Bacău. The event was attended by students from the study programs Physical and sports education, Sports and motor performance, Physiotherapy and special motor skills, Occupational therapy, Sports performance, respectively four men deprived of liberty, who answered the questions from the public, managing to expose the most important aspects related to the practice of physical exercise in the detention environment.
